Bulk upload contacts with a CSV file

Streamline contacts importing and organization. Save time by uploading a CSV file or spreadsheet consisting of multiple contacts. iFax will automatically sort the data provided, eliminating the need for manual entry.

Here’s how to import multiple contacts from a CSV:

  1. Prepare your CSV file. Each contact entry must include a valid fax number, first name, and organization name.
  2. Go to your iFax dashboard and select Contacts from the left navigation.
  3. Click New Contact > Import Multiple Contacts.
  4. Click Upload CSV and select the file you want to import.
  5. Click Save.

Customize contact fields in imported lists

Tailor your fax contact lists effortlessly in these steps:

  1. Go to Manage> Broadcast Fax.
  2. Click the Lists tab and select New Broadcast List.
  3. Click Upload CSV.
  4. Download the same template provided. By default, the template will be downloaded as an XLS file.
  5. Open the XLS file using MS Excel or any software that supports the said file type.
  6. Edit the sheet as necessary. Add custom fields next to the pre-labeled columns.
  7. Save your changes, then go back to your iFax web dashboard.
  8. From the same Upload CSV dialog, click Select File.
  9. Upload the updated spreadsheet.
  10. Preview the imported file. You will see whether the custom fields have been successfully added. You can also modify the details as needed.
  11. Click Save.
