The landline switch-off in the UK is just around the corner. The deadline has been extended to give individuals and businesses enough time to prepare. Here’s a guide on how to transition smoothly. 

1. Assess your current setup. 

Identify any landline-dependent systems such as fax machines, payment terminals, security alarms, lift emergency lines, etc. Ask your service provider for any transition plans and whether your current services will still work. 

2. Upgrade to VoIP

Choose a VoIP provider and test your broadband speed to ensure it’s fast enough for clear VoIP calls. At least 10 Mbps upload speed is recommended if you have multiple users.
