Fax.Plus has several pricing plans starting at $6.99 per month for 200 pages, one fax number, and one user. It already has excellent features like email-to-fax, multiple fax recipients, and unlimited fax storage. However, its Enterprise Plan is best for HIPAA compliance. This costs $79.99 monthly for 4,000 fax pages, multiple fax numbers, and unlimited team members. Extra pages cost only $0.03 per page. It also provides API access for seamless integrations with other software solutions.
RingCentral has two plans for internet faxing. Its Fax 3000 plan allows you to send up to 3000 pages for only $22.99 monthly. It already comes with all the basic faxing features like a mobile app, integration with cloud storage services, and fax covers. If you want to enjoy RingCentral’s other communication capabilities, like making domestic calls and sending SMS, they have an Advanced Plan, which costs $25 monthly, provided you pay yearly.
Fax.Plus implements 256-bit AES encryption and TLS 1.3 encryption. Its other security features, like 2FA (two-factor authentication), single sign-on, Swiss-grade privacy protection, data residency, and document retention, help strengthen protection against unauthorized access. Its data centers are also ISO/IEC 27001 certified.
As an alternative to Fax.Plus, RingCentral also employs industry-grade 256-bit AES encryption. It follows TLS protocols and SRTP encryption for all incoming and outgoing faxes. It can block faxes from unknown senders and offers DevSecOps encryption through every stage of product development.
For Fax.Plus, the Enterprise Plan lets you enter into a Business Associate Agreement and avail yourself of the features necessary for HIPAA compliance.
For RingCentral, you have to request it, and they’ll comply as long as you’re a HIPAA-covered entity.
RingCentral gives you access to Fax APIs, so you can integrate its faxing solution into EHR, EMR, or CRM systems. Its API lets you send faxes straight from your preferred platform or system without going through complex steps like manually transferring files.
Fax.Plus also offers the same API support in its Enterprise plan. This allows you to transmit and receive faxes, categorize them, manage fax numbers and records, and manage user accounts.
By default, RingCentral gives you one fax number. If you want extra fax numbers, you can get them for only $4.99 monthly per user. The online fax service also provides an option for additional 1-800 (toll-free) and vanity numbers with a $30 one-time fee.
Fax.Plus, as an alternative to RingCentral, provides multiple fax numbers for its Enterprise Plan. There are 2 free dedicated fax numbers, with extra ones costing $4.99 monthly. This can be either by local fax numbers or toll-free numbers. Vanity numbers cost $19.99 each. They also offer a set of highly memorable numbers for $29.99 each. If you’re faxing to international contacts, there are corresponding Sending Rates depending on the destination country.
RingCentral allows you to schedule faxes in advance, boosting speed and productivity. It also allows you to send faxes to 50 recipients simultaneously. However, if you need to send to more than 50 people at once, you can request to enable the fax broadcasting feature. It’s worth noting that the fax service limits document attachments to 200 pages or less with a 50MB maximum file size.
Fax.Plus also offers the same convenience. You can send high-volume faxes to multiple recipients across 180 countries. You can send faxes instantly or schedule their delivery based on your preferred time and date.
Fax.Plus and RingCentral are equally excellent choices for businesses looking for HIPAA-compliant and reliable online fax solutions. Choosing between the two all boils down to your specific requirements and how much you are willing to spend.
If your priority is value for money, RingCentral is the best choice. With its Fax 3000 plan, you only pay roughly less than $30 for 3000 fax pages, complete with HIPAA-compliant features and integration with mainstream cloud storage services like Dropbox and Google Drive.
Fax.Plus makes sense if you only need to fax a few pages per month, given these aren’t documents requiring HIPAA compliance. Otherwise, RingCentral is a more viable Fax.Plus alternative.
